Sesame Street characters in The Great Baseball Game, Don and Donna Go to Bat, The Ball Game, and Catching the Moon helped us learn about the game of BASEBALL

Stone Soup became the kickoff story to a mix of stories with similar themes:
Penny Pangolin and the Rock Soup, The Enormous Turnip, Carrot Soup, Mr. Samuel’s Sprout, Soul Food Sunday, and Feast for 10
Students, teachers, and support staff . . . with the assistance of parents sending their children with (a potato or two, an onion or two, a tomato or two, a carrot or two, a slice of cabbage here and there, a handful of rice) . . . prepared an all-day, all-school STONE SOUP feast . . . with stones gathered from the river . . . and washed thoroughly.
